Building plans or other need for electricity?
The ordering of temporary power must be reported via Elsmart/Customer Portal/email (varies from company to company, insert what applies to yours).
In Elsmart, the electrician uses a registration form for temporary installation. The pre-notification covers the process up to and including the connection of the temporary installation. However, the completion notice signifies the termination of the temporary installation, meaning that the completion notice should not be sent until the termination of the construction power box is desired.
<Nettselskap> rents out construction power boxes, temporary facilities used by developers/contractors/event organizers for power supply during a construction/project period or for a single event. Temporary supplies are characterized by their time-limited nature. Construction power boxes are often used until the permanent installation in the building can be connected to the distribution network, and/or the construction period is completed.
The following construction power boxes are available for rent:
- 230V 3x32A
- 230V 3x63A
- 400V 4x32A

Rental Terms for Construction Power Boxes
Normal delivery time is within 5 working days from receipt of written order. For urgent delivery, an expedited delivery surcharge may apply.
Construction power boxes will be placed and connected at the nearest pole, distribution cabinet, or substation.
If there are no connection possibilities near the desired location in the distribution network, the box will be connected at the nearest available location. If the box is desired to be mounted in locations where there is no distribution network, we will assist in finding a solution. Additional costs incurred will then be invoiced based on the hours and materials used for assembly and disassembly.
- The tenant is obliged to handle the construction power box with care so that it is in a similar condition upon dismantling as it was upon installation.
- Throughout the entire rental period, the tenant is responsible for the box and associated equipment. Any damage incurred to the rented equipment will be invoiced in full to the tenant.
- The tenant must ensure that the equipment is handled and used correctly to avoid putting themselves or others at risk.
- Under no circumstances should the tenant or others make alterations or repairs to the installation inside the box. This should only be done by <Nettselskap>.
- The tenant is responsible for ensuring that the box is always closed and locked. <Nettselskap> provides the box with a lock and key. If a padlock and key are not returned with the box upon dismantling, a fee of kr.300,- will be charged. If only the key is missing, a fee of kr.90,- will be charged.
- The box must not be moved from its placement site without prior written notice.
- Grounding and supply cables must not be touched or altered in any way.
- In the event of non-payment, the construction power box will be disconnected and removed without notice, and the tenant will be liable for any associated costs.
- The rental period is limited to 12 months, beyond which a specific rental period must be agreed upon in writing.
- For rental periods exceeding 1 year, the construction power box will be inspected by <Nettselskap> at the beginning of each new year. The tenant covers the costs.
Terms for Private Construction Power Boxes
When using private construction power boxes, a customer relationship is established between <Nettselskap> and the owner of this temporary facility when the construction power box is first used within <Nettselskaps>'s concession area. (Similar to regular electrical installations.)
The tenant of such a facility has a direct customer relationship with <Nettselskap>. The meter is permanently installed and is typically not removed until the customer relationship is terminated. The selected installer must submit a notification via Elsmart for installation work only the first time the construction power box is to be connected to the distribution network. Costs incurred by <Nettselskap> for providing power to temporary facilities prior to permanent connection are required to be covered by the customer through a facility contribution.
If the construction power box needs to be moved, this must be reported to <Nettselskap> , and the relocation must be carried out by agreement. Since the meters are AMS meters, it is important that the relocation (disconnection and reconnection) is reported to <Nettselskap>. Costs for this will be incurred depending on the nature of the work.
- The owner is responsible for ensuring that the temporary facility is constructed, maintained, and operated in accordance with regulations. This means, among other things, that the owner is responsible for regularly inspecting the facility.
- Construction power boxes should be labeled with the name of the owner/company.
- Construction power boxes that are in operation must be in good condition, securely locked, and provide adequate safety for the public and workers. <Nettselskap> must be granted access to the box at all times for inspection and, if necessary, meter replacement.
Power Outages
Power disconnections from the grid due to operational and maintenance reasons may occur. Since this is a provisional connection, the tenant will not be notified. Any costs or inconveniences incurred by the tenant as a result of this cannot be charged to <Nettselskap>. <Nettselskap> s only responsible for consequential damages when the damage is caused by negligence on the part of <Nettselskap> . <Nettselskap> is not liable for indirect damages incurred by the tenant unless the damage is due to intentional actions by <Nettselskap>.
Faults in Construction Power Boxes
If you experience faults in the construction power box, call 00000000. We will then send a technician to troubleshoot during normal working hours (07:00-15:00). If the fault is on the customer's installation or is due to misuse, we will invoice the customer for this.
Dismantling of Construction Power Boxes
Must be ordered through customer service at least one week before removal. This is related to reporting meter readings and registering meter status in our data systems.
