The relationship between you as a network customer and the grid company is governed by a grid tariff agreement and a connection agreement. These standard terms are intended for use in connection with the connection and provision of network services to consumers (households/holiday homes) and businesses.

The 2021 standard terms replace the previous standard agreement from 2007. The need for updated terms is primarily triggered by changes in several regulations issued by authorities such as the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (OED), the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE), the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RME), and the Norwegian Metrology Service.

These standard terms apply between the Grid Company and the Customer from the moment they are announced to the customers in accordance with applicable rules (see section 17 of the grid tariff terms and section 9 of the connection terms). The standard terms consist of two parts/agreements:

  • Grid Tariff Terms regulating the relationship between the Grid Company and the Customer.
  • Connection Conditions regulating the relationship between the Grid Company and the owner of the electrical installation to be connected to or already connected to the transmission network.
