The smart electricity meter provides you as a customer with an accurate overview of your electricity consumption, and you don't need to manually read the meter yourself. In addition to displaying energy consumption, the meter can also show you real-time electricity consumption and voltage by pressing the screen button on the meter.

The smart electricity meter installed at your home is from Aidon/Kastrup and is commonly referred to as AMS. AMS stands for Advanced Metering and Management System, providing you with the possibility of a more detailed overview of your electricity consumption.

HAN port

All new AMS meters come with a HAN port. HAN stands for "Home Area Network" and is a dedicated physical outlet located on your AMS electricity meter. If desired, you can connect equipment to this port that can provide access to consumption data and more detailed information about power usage, voltage levels, surplus power, and much more.

Many electricity meters are typically located in a fuse box situated in a stairwell, a technical room, or other areas where other individuals may have access. Therefore, the utility company has chosen to keep the HAN port closed to prevent unauthorized access to information about your power consumption.

If you wish to use the HAN port, you can order this service free of charge by contacting your utility company.

Once you have ordered the opening of the HAN port, you assume responsibility for ensuring that no unauthorized individuals gain access to information about your power consumption through the HAN port. Therefore, if the electricity meter is located in a place where others have access, we recommend that you secure the cabinet with a lock.
